Today, I felt prompted by the Holy Spirit to share my testimony of the trial I have been walking through for the past 3-6 months with you. As you can see, I look very different from the usual in this video. Let me tell you why…
Life can throw us things we never, ever expected! As I hit 50 last year, I never expected to lose my hair. It is not something I had heard women talk about much. However, as I have been walking this out all these months, I have seen it is something that so many women struggle with as they get older and go through menopause. I pray that sharing the emotional struggles I have been through the past few months encourages you in whatever you are facing in your life. We get hit with things we never expect, but when we go to God, He WILL redeem the hard and the pain. As I shared in the video, it took me a while to be okay and get to where I am today. It took a lot of tears to get me to the point where I am able to talk about what I have been facing. Healing often does not happen instantaneously because we have so many emotions and protective measures in our souls. Instead, the Lord gives us a safe place to come to Him and bring the pain and the real feelings, even the sin patterns we use to deal with the pain, so He can get to the root and bring glory to our situation. Not allowing ourselves to feel pain or to grieve when life is hard only leads to walls and bitterness, creating strongholds in our souls. Be honest with God. Be honest with yourself. Be honest with safe people.
I pray this encourages you that God sees everything about you and loves you so very much! No matter what you are going through, He can turn really hard things into something for His glory if we allow ourselves to walk through the process.
