We put it on t-shirts, coffee mugs, and signs we hang in our house. We commonly answer the question, “How are you doing?” with “I am blessed!” But do we really understand what we are saying when we say we are blessed? What does walking in a blessed life truly look like?
These are some questions we will answer in today’s video teaching on Psalm 119:1.
How blessed are those whose way is blameless,
Who walk in the law of the LORD.
Psalm 119:1, NASB
In this video, we also begin to examine the nine different Hebrew words used in Psalm 119 to refer to God’s directions and instructions. Those nine Hebrew words are:
ways (H1870)
laws (H8451)
testimonies (H5713)
precepts (H6490)
statutes (H2706)
commandments (H4687)
judgements (H4951)
word (H1697)
word (H565)
In today’s video, we will look at ways and laws.
ways - derek (H1870) way, road, journey, manner, path, direction, habits, path, direction, habits, our course of life
laws - torah (H8451) instructions, directions; from yarah (H3384) to throw, to pour, to rain, to shoot arrows
The blessed life awaits us when we are in Christ and walking in His ways, following His instructions!
Blessings,
Brandee
