Establish My Ways, O God

Having a Strong Root System

Today, we will examine two more verses about ways and statutes. Remember, our ways are our habits and way of life, and God’s statutes are His prescriptions. He has specific statutes so that our ways align with His will and our righteous identity in Christ.

Psalm 119:5-6 says:

Oh, that my ways were directed and established to observe Your statutes [hearing, receiving, loving, and obeying them]! Then shall I not be put to shame [by failing to inherit Your promises] when I have respect to all Your commandments (AMPC).

When we are following God’s prescriptions for our lives, then the Psalmist says our ways will be established. What does it mean for our ways to be established? How is this related to having a strong root system and firm foundation?

Join me today for this teaching on having a firm root system and living a life without shame! Next week’s teaching on Matthew 7:24-27, building a house on the rock or sand, will be for paid subscribers. Thank you for supporting Ancient Paths Disciplship as we publish discipleship materials and form a community of believers preparing for Jesus’ return!
