Every time the Lord speaks, it is for a reason. He can talk to us about something that is just for us personally, others, or the Body of Christ as a whole. This past week, as I was before Him in worship and praying in the Spirit, I began to sense His voice, speaking something to help me in my current season but also to help others who find themselves in sifting and shaking seasons. We are in the midst of great change on the earth, and the Body of Christ has to be ready. The Lord knows what is inside us that would keep us from being able to move forward and navigate all that these days ahead will bring. That is why so many of us are in sifting seasons. If this word applies to you, grab a hold of it like I am doing. Mediate on the Scripture references and get them deep in your inner man. Heaven is for us! Jesus is praying for us! As we come out of the current sifting and shaking, we will be able to carry His glory and help navigate others through the times ahead.
Feb 27, 2025, in the 9 am prayer hour:
"The enemy has asked to sift you as wheat, and I ALLOWED THIS. Not to punish, not to destroy, but to make you stronger and to solidify resolve for the days ahead. I AM allowing My beloved ones to be sifted as wheat (Luke 22:31-32). If you are being sifted, consider it JOY (James 1:2-4), for you are CHOSEN to carry to carry My glory in this hour and kairos time upon the earth. I only let the enemy go so far, and then I say 'ENOUGH!' (Job 1:6-12). My intent is NOT to destroy or chop down, but to prune and make more fruitful (John 15:2). For these ones will be like well-watered trees planted by streams of water whose leaves do not wither and whose branches do not fail to produce fruit (Ps 1:3, Jer 17:7-8). They will be nourished from the very streams of water that flow from My throne (Rev 22:1). Living water will sustain them through all that is ahead.
Keep wrestling. I AM IN THE WRESTLING. For you will come out of this with a NEW NAME (Genesis 32:24-32). Lean into the process because it is not a quick-fix process. This season must do a deep, deep work. Be comfortable with the wrestling. Settle into the wrestling. Decree to the devil, 'I WILL FULFIL THE GOOD WORKS PLANNED FOR ME FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD! (Eph 2:10). Keep resisting him, and he will flee (James 4:6-10). Each day, use your sword and stand (Eph 6:11,17). The wrestling is drawing you closer to Me. The devil and his kingdom want the wrestling to break you where you turn from Me, but I have gone before you and know this will make you stronger."
Scripture References:
Luke 22:31-32 And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren” (NKJV).
James 1:2-4 Consider it nothing but joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you fall into various trials. Be assured that the testing of your faith [through experience] produces endurance [leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace]. And let endurance have its perfect result and do a thorough work, so that you may be perfect and completely developed [in your faith], lacking in nothing (AMP).
Job 1:6-12 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. And the Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?” So Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.” Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?” So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!” And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord (NKJV).
John 15:2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit (NKJV).
Psalm 1:3 And he will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season; Its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers [and comes to maturity] (AMP).
Jeremiah 17:7-8 Blessed [with spiritual security] is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the Lord
And whose hope and confident expectation is the Lord.
”For he will be [nourished] like a tree planted by the waters,
That spreads out its roots by the river;
And will not fear the heat when it comes;
But its leaves will be green and moist.
And it will not be anxious and concerned in a year of drought
Nor stop bearing fruit” (AMP).
Revelation 22:1 Then the angel showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb (Christ) (AMP)
Genesis 32:24-32 24 Then Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day. 25 Now when He saw that He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip; and the socket of Jacob’s hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him. 26 And He said, “Let Me go, for the day breaks. But he said, “I will not let You go unless You bless me!” 27 So He said to him, “What is your name?” He said, “Jacob.” 28 And He said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed.” 29 Then Jacob asked, saying, “Tell me Your name, I pray.” And He said, “Why is it that you ask about My name?” And He blessed him there. 30 So Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: “For I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.” 31 Just as he crossed over Penuel the sun rose on him, and he limped on his hip. 32 Therefore to this day the children of Israel do not eat the muscle that shrank, which is on the hip socket, because He touched the socket of Jacob’s hip in the muscle that shrank (NKJV).
Ephesians 2:10 For we are the product of His hand, heaven’s poetry etched on lives, created in the Anointed, Jesus, to accomplish the good works God arranged long ago (Voice).
James 4:6-10 6 You may think that the situation is hopeless, but God gives us more grace when we turn away from our own interests. That’s why Scripture says,
God opposes the proud,
but He pours out grace on the humble.
7 So submit yourselves to the one true God and fight against the devil and his schemes. If you do, he will run away in failure. 8 Come close to the one true God, and He will draw close to you. Wash your hands; you have dirtied them in sin. Cleanse your heart, because your mind is split down the middle, your love for God on one side and selfish pursuits on the other. 9 Now is the time to lament, to grieve, and to cry. Dissolve your laughter into sobbing, and exchange your joy for depression. 10 Lay yourself bare, facedown to the ground, in humility before the Lord; and He will lift your head so you can stand tall (Voice).
Ephesians 6:11,17 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (NKJV).
If you are in the Nashville area, I encourage you to come to the Armor of God class this Saturday. It is written to help you through the sifting and shaking seasons. May the Lord surround you and strengthen you through the Holy Spirit to endure the time of testing.
Blessings,
Brandee
