The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps.
Proverbs 16:9, ESV
Have you ever been on a path where the Lord totally stopped you in your tracks and redirected your steps? That is what has happened to me since the first of this year. I started 2025 with my plan, but as the first months of this year have passed, the Lord has shifted me to His plan. I will say that I truly believed I was on the right path, and everything to this point was full of Him, but even when we are just a tiny bit off course, the Lord will allow circumstances and situations to redirect us.
Birthing new things is not always easy. It can be messy and not look put together and polished. Sometimes, we must navigate being redirected. I admit, in my pride, I do not like to look like I do not know what I am doing! But even starting and restarting, there is a lesson of humility and submission. The Lord is He is faithful! If we are seeking Him, He will guide our steps. We can be doing a good thing, but the Lord wants to steer us towards the best thing written down in Heaven. We can plan our way, but it is Him who will direct our steps so we can accomplish our destiny and purpose. Although what Ancient Paths Discipleship Ministries was doing was a good thing, this new direction is the best thing written in Heaven!
Ancient Paths Discipleship Ministries is now becoming Ancient Paths Discipleship and will officially launch on April 21, 2025, here on Substack, Instagram, and Facebook. During launch week and the following week, I will share:
What is Ancient Paths Discipleship?
How can it help you in your walk with God, your understanding of yourself, and have healthy relationships with others?
How does going deep in the Bible study in the original languages and Hebraic roots increase wisdom and intimacy?
How does understanding your soul and its formation lead to spiritual maturity and transformation?
My Testimony
We are in the month of Nissan—the month of new beginnings and completion! This is very significant in my life, as a divinely orchestrated cycle of completion and new beginnings is taking place during this shift, which I will share next week.
I look forward to sharing this discipleship journey with you as we find our way home—back to the Garden, back to intimacy, back to our covenant roots, and back to God’s original design for His creation.
Blessings,
Brandee
