Recently in prayer, I heard the Holy Spirit say, I have made you into a sharp threshing sledge. I knew that was from a passage of Scripture. This phrase comes from Isaiah 41:15, where the Lord says to His people,
Behold, I turned you into a new, sharp threshing sledge with double edges;
You will thresh the mountains and pulverize them,
And make the hills like chaff (NASB).
As I broke down this verse and the subsequent verses around it, I realized that what the Lord was speaking to me was not only for me, but also for others. Many of us have been in seasons of extended battles. This year has been exceptionally hard and challenging. But it is through these battles that the Lord is refining us and making us into His instruments of power and authority to carry His glory.
I pray that this series of teaching videos over the next few weeks will encourage your heart to persevere in the battles you are facing, knowing that God is with you and He is forming you into an incredible instrument to be used in these days.
