The Spirit of Counsel
Today, we are going to continue our study of Isaiah 11:2 and the different aspects of the Holy Spirit.
The Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him,
The spirit of wisdom and understanding,
The spirit of counsel and strength,
The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.
Isaiah 11:2, NASB
Remember, the Spirit of wisdom, or the Ruwach chokmah, is what we need to have wisdom, the skills we need for our assignments, and order in our lives. The Spirit of wisdom will enable us to make wise decisions.
The Spirit of understanding, or the Ruwach biynah, is the ability to have discernment, insight, and perception. It is also what enables us to be brilliant! No matter what we are in our Adam self, the Holy Spirit can give us brilliance!
The Spirit of counsel, or the Ruwach etsah, is the third aspect of the Holy Spirit.
