Proverbs 13:12 says, Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but desire fulfilled is a tree of life (NASB95). When we are stuck in cycles of hope deferred, we can become hopeless, angry, and bitter. We can lose our trust and faith in God and His promises when our prayers go unanswered and we do not see the breakthroughs we so desperately seek. The enemy seeks to compound the situation by continually hurling flaming arrows (Ephesians 6:16) at us. What are flaming arrows? Is there a solution to break out of this hope deferred cycle?
Today, I am sharing with you a verse of Scripture and a lesson the Holy Spirit taught me to shift my perspective, which began to break the sickness of hope deferred from my heart. I pray that as you listen to this teaching and meditate on the Word, it will do the same for you!
Blessings,
Brandee
