Have you noticed the acceleration of time since 2020? The last five years have been almost a blur, and trying to pinpoint timelines is nearly impossible. There has been a shift, and we all feel it. As we navigate this new era of acceleration on God's calendar, we need to look at time and our lives differently.
First, we need to keep in mind that everyday matters. Not that we did not know that already, but in this new era, each day really does carry significant weight. Paul tells us in Ephesians 5:15–17, So be careful how you live; be mindful of your steps. Don't run around like idiots as the rest of the world does. Instead, walk as the wise! Make the most of every living and breathing moment because these are evil times. So understand and be confident in God's will, and don't live thoughtlessly (Voice). Every day, we need to surrender ourselves to God's will. It is so easy to get distracted by the world, our circumstances, and things the kingdom of darkness puts in our path. It takes great discipline to remain focused on God and the assignments He has for us each day. Our world is filled with so much distraction; I pray about it often. I know the enemy does not want me focused. It takes great discipline and surrender to keep my mind focused, but with the help of the Holy Spirit, we can do it!
As you set your mind to be focused and make the most of each day, when you get up each day, simply ask the Lord for wisdom and speak to you about His plans. In this season, Proverbs 3:5–6 is becoming ingrained into my soul. Place your trust in the Eternal; rely on Him completely; never depend upon your own ideas and inventions. Give Him the credit for everything you accomplish, and He will smooth out and straighten the road that lies ahead. And don't think you can decide on your own what is right and what is wrong. Respect the Eternal; turn and run from evil (Voice). We can come up with many good ideas, but to truly be prosperous and fulfill our destiny, we need to be doing not just good ideas but following God's instructions.
Second, this acceleration time means that things will happen faster than they used to. What do I mean? Breakthroughs are going to happen faster. Prophetic words are going to come to pass faster. Events in the world and our lives are going to happen faster. Ezekiel 12 is being fulfilled:
The word of the Eternal came to me with another message.
Eternal One: Son of man, what is this saying the people keep repeating in the land of Israel: "The days pass by, and the prophecies never come true"? Tell the people of Israel the Eternal Lord says that this saying will not be quoted for long. I am going to make sure it is never said again in Israel. The time is near when every prophecy will be fulfilled. There won't be any more false visions or favorable predictions in Israel. I, the Eternal One, will speak, and what I speak will be fulfilled without delay. You rebellious crowd! I will fulfill whatever I say during your lifetime.
So said the Eternal Lord.
The word of the Eternal came to me.
Eternal One: Son of man, the people of Israel are saying, "The visions of the prophet are for the distant future; He speaks of events a long way off." Therefore, tell the people of Israel the Eternal Lord most certainly says that nothing I've predicted will wait any longer. Whatever I speak will be fulfilled without delay.
Ezekiel 12: 21–28, Voice
We must be aware of this acceleration if we are in any leadership in the Body of Christ. Pioneers are called to pave the way for those coming behind them. Pioneers plow through the hard-packed soil of the areas where they are called to make the way and form the path for those who will walk behind them. Their process can take years, even decades, so they can carry the anointing that will bring accelerated breakthroughs for those behind them. Why do accelerated breakthroughs need to be made? Because the times call for it! Time has sped up, and in this Kingdom era, things will be happening so rapidly that there is no time for delay. What has taken me a decade to plow will only take those behind me a year! What took me a year will only take you a month! That is the nature of the time we are in. It is exciting because the expansion of the Kingdom of God is here! God's glory is going to cover the earth!
Yes, Satan is expanding His kingdom as well at an accelerated pace. That is why we must choose a side and stop straddling the fence. The fence-sitting days are over, and we must decide which side to stand on.
Whether our souls like it or not, this is the time we are in. I encourage you to embrace it with all your heart and ask God what this looks like for your life. We were made for this time! And although there may be gross darkness around us, God's light will shine on and through His people (Isaiah 61:1-2), and the King of Glory is coming in (Psalm 24)!
Blessings,
Brandee
